Managing Social Media - Personally and Professionally

Really excited that I have officially entered Francis Tuttle into the world of social media. Personally, I've been on Facebook/MySpace for a while and on Twitter for coming on a year now, with about 6 months of really active use. I wanted to make sure that I had a firm grasp on how I would use these before branching out there with our school's image.

So far, it's been great. Have had the oppportunity to really help some customers already. Such a great feeling to know you have addressed an issue that would have otherwise just been grumbled about. Preparing for the Extreme Social Marketing Workshop on April 21st in Bricktown, and I'm really looking forward to developing even more strategies for utilizing these tools.

All in all, however, it still goes back to necessity of happy customers wanting to be evangelists for your brand. Fun stuff!

Learn a little about me...

First of all, thanks so much for checking out my blog!!! I'm really excited about the opportunity to run for the OKC Ad Club Board.

I'm a marketing professional with 5 years experience. During high school and college, I worked in the restaurant industry which completely determined my stance on customer service. I firmly believe everyone should work in the restaurant business; you learn how to truly take care of people and can have a great time doing it. If the hours weren't so bad, I'd still be there.

I am addicted to a couple of FANTASTIC blogs - Church of the Customer and Seth Godin's. I read a post today from Seth Godin talking about how everyone needs to know their personal Super Power, so here's mine:

I'm Tricia, and I believe that ANYTHING can happen and will do just about EVERYTHING to get it there.

I am really looking forward to promoting the advertising community in Oklahoma City. Thanks again for checking me out!
